It's obvious that the game is aimed for the very young as the games included here are the simplest of all the entries. As soon as he grows up, the mini-games stop and it rushes to the end. The story is truncated, with a heavy focus on the young Simba segments. The graphics are less impressive than later installments, with a lower resolution. It only took 6 months to create the game and while it does have its shortcomings, it is quite an impressive feat. When it became apparent that the movie would be a success, Disney decided to commission this game to be released in time for Christmas that same year. The Lion King was the first game in the series.
